Five Reasons We Love Cashmere

First, What is Cashmere?

It’s the ultra fine fiber from the undercoat of cashmere and pashmina goats. These goats are native to regions with very harsh winters and naturally grow longer, finer fibers to stay warm. Cashmere is from the downy layer closest to the goat’s skin and is the softest and most luxurious form of wool.  While wool and cashmere are both natural fibers, cashmere is finer, softer and more durable. It almost feels like silk to the touch and is significantly warmer and lighter than wool. It is the epitome of elegance and refined comfort.

  • Natural & Sustainable - It's no secret that natural, sustainable fibers are better for the environment and for you. Our top quality cashmere also does not contain harmful dyes or chemicals.

  • Breathable - Cashmere keeps you dry as well as warm. This is because cashmere is breathable and wicks moisture while providing incredible warmth.  cashmere ticks all the boxes for cozy and comfortable winter wear.

  • Ultra-Soft - Cashmere’s long and smooth fibers create luxuriously soft clothing that actually gets softer with time. It also does not irritate the skin and has a very low risk of allergic reaction.

  • Durable - If you properly care for cashmere, it will last for many many years. Store it in a cool, dry place and keep moths at bay with cedar or lavender.

  • Not Just For Winter - With its amazing warmth, you might think cashmere is only suitable for winter. However, it’s also great in the fall and spring as its breathable and has the advantage of being lightweight.
